Introducing Lydia Singer

Lydia Singer is a UK singer-songwriter who has just turned 14. She has, already, been turning heads within the music industry with her amazing vocals and song writing skills and, on two occasions, has been in front of SYCO Entertainment (Sony Music UK) for Britain’s Got Talent.

In 2013/2014 Lydia collaborated with producer Charles Foskett and songwriter Rob Davis, who has written for Kylie Minogue, on her first original solo track including her first single “Meteor”. In 2014, Lydia also worked with record producer Steve Salvari on another 3 songs, including one of her own composition, ‘Stupid Love’.

During 2015 Lydia performed at Ronnie Scott’s giving her the first opportunity to play with a big band supporting her, something that proved to be a brilliant success. She was also invited to sing for Dame Cleo Laine at a private function staged in her garden.

Recently, Lydia had her first radio interview with WestSide Radio and, at just age 14, has performed at The Willow Festival, which is the UK’s biggest unsigned artist music event. Lydia’s been busy recording her latest single ‘More Than Yesterday’ at Charthouse Music with producer Simon Robin Brown.

Simon has collaborated with artists such as Amelia Lily, The Saturdays, High Contrast, Big Brovas and Florrie. A regular composer for EMI, Notting Hill Publishing, Extreme Music & Audio Network have resulted in Simon’s compositions appearing on TV/Internet for high profile clients such as Nokia, ESPN, Chivas Regal, Currys/PC World, RNLI & ION TV to name a few.

‘More Than Yesterday’ is a track that is sure to grab the attention of a main stream audience and shows the vocal ability and writing skills of Lydia Singer, which are far beyond her years. Lydia’s debut national project is something not to be missed and certainly won’t be forgotten in a hurry. Mobo award winner Adam F was incredibly impressed when he heard her and this has been echoed across the music world every time someone has worked or heard Lydia’s talent.

As well as having a very strong single, Lydia has also called in some very good and successful producers in their own rights to do alternative versions of ‘More Than Yesterday’.

Blame is one of the UK’S finest DNB Producers who has worked remixing major artists such as Jackson 5, Sway, Skepta, Stoosh, and many more. Blame has also worked on music with Tinchy Strider, Jocelyn Brown & Rodney P, as well as being asked to come in and do BBC Radio live sessions, and always gets huge support across national radio. K – Warren is a name that needs no introduction to the Garage world, with a string of UKG top 40 hits which featured people from Emma Bunton, Leo The Lion, Richie Dan. K – Warren and has remixed for Jay Sean & Lil Wayne, Samantha Mumba and many more. As well as having 4 UK top 40 hits, K – Warren has delivered the goods on his version of Lydia’s song.

4: Ellington (Dance Mix)
London born producer Ellington has worked with some great talent over the last few years from Zee Asha to Ragga Twins to K – Warren, Pied Piper, Scott Garcia and Ayah Marar to name a few. Ellington has also worked on a new ep and remake of the Genius crews hit Boom as well as a project for a new girl group called Office Girls.

5: Mike B (Pop / Soul Mix)
Mike B has come a long way since the days of touring around the world with acts such as Jessica Simpson and John Scofield. Spending his days and nights in the studio producing and writing with various artists of different genres of music and having his music released under Universal,
Warner/Chappell and Sony/ATV.

6: Harvey Miller Aka DJ Speedy (Tech House Mix)
Harvey Miller, known as DJ Speedy, is a Multi – Grammy producer who has sold over 25 million records and has worked on records for artists including Beyonce, Outkast, Snoop Dogg, BOB, Nelly, Gucci Mane and many more. Harvey Miller has played at many well-known venues from Hakkasan, Club Lure to Tomorrow Land to name a few. Recently Harvey has supported rap legend and friend Snoop Dogg! Harvey has a label under Sony Music and a huge social media following with over 160,000 Instagram followers. DJ Speedy is a name to go and check out.

7: Alter Ego & Scoop (Club DNB Mix)
Alter Ego & Scoop have recently signed two tunes to DJ SS legendary label Formation Records and, as well as remixing for various artists, they are also working directly with one of the most sort after publishers, ex Vice president of BMG, who is now a senior film executive in Hollywood called Art Ford.
Alter Ego & Scoop have had support on Kiss FM, Ministry of Sound, Capital FM and BBC Radio, and other stations.

The project is called ‘More Than Yesterday’ and is out on 16th September on AES Management, pre-order from iTunes.

The campaign is currently in circulation with the UK’s leading club promotions team Power Promotions who have had over 400 UK top 40 entries including Sigma, Rhianna Neyo, Jess Glyne to name a few.

In its first week it racked up over 59 percent of DJs supporting all the mixes with a national average of 7/10. Lydia Singer has been turning heads in some major labels and major publishers, and everyone who hears this young 14-year-old with an extraordinary talent has tipped her to be the next big teen star.
