Sunset City ‘Fun’ [Video]

With Spring on the horizon, Gold Coast electro-pop four-piece Sunset City inject a bit of a Summer vibe with the release of their single ‘Fun,’ from their forthcoming debut album Electric Soda.

“‘Fun’ is a song for the weekend,” says singer Paul French. “It’s a reminder for everyone to enjoy themselves.” ‘

Fun’ is only a small taste of what is to come from the band’s full-length offering, Electric Soda, due for release on September 30.

Sunset City are all things pop. Since their formation in mid-2015, the band have been making waves on the Australian pop scene, first with the release of their debut EP ‘Neon’ in February, as well as their impending album release in September; additionally, they perform numerous gigs throughout South-East Queensland.

The Burleigh Heads band began as a three-piece with Paul French (Vocals), Matt Scully (Guitar) and Rob Johnson (Bass), before expanding to a four-piece with the addition of Brady Parsons (Drums) soon after.

Their cutting edge, electric sound and upbeat dirty pop has already garnered airplay on Gold Coast radio stations Hot Tomato, Sea FM, ABC Radio and 94.1FM; they have also found a fan in Sheppard singer George Sheppard, who has described the band’s style as “catchy, fresh and a fun, energetic vibe.”
