Meet Annie Swarm Guldberg

Annie Swarm Guldberg’s path to becoming an oil painter has taken many a turn, with vocational stints ranging from fireplace factory worker to toilet paper delivery woman. A Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Wisconsin Lutheran College bolstered Annie’s focus on painting, as did her eventual career in the printing and publishing industry.

Annie is inspired by nature and an internal urge to rise above time and place by interpreting feelings with color. Her paintings are created using a mainly alla-prima process using nothing more than oil paint to build her signature texture.

Annie lives life to the fullest with her husband, Nils, and their two superhero sons, Thor and Conan. Annie works from her Waukesha, Wisconsin studio, where budding artists can discover their spirit color.
