Strawberries & Creem have done it again… another wild lineup, but who are the mystery headliners?
- Strawberries & Creem Festival announce an impressive line-up for June’s 10,000 capacity event – over 40 acts across 3 stages spanning Grime, Garage, House and Dancehall – but the top three headliners are still a big secret.
- AJ Tracey, J Hus and P-Money all feature, alongside disco house legend Dimitri From Paris, Garage pioneers Artful Dodger and So Solid Crew, Gentleman’s Dub Club, General Levy, Mike Skinner and Donae’o
- One of the UK’s fastest-growing independent festivals, the Cambridge-based event has doubled in size every year since the start in 2014 – previously hosting Skepta, Nelly, Kano, Big Narstie and Grandmaster Flash
Strawberries & Creem Festival has just unveiled the majority of its line-up, with 40+ acts including some of the biggest names in UK music right now and over the years – spanning Grime, Garage, Dancehall and House, with the usual mix of homegrown talent and global artists.
AJ Tracey and J Hus lead the pack of new UK stars, with garage pioneers Artful Dodger and So Solid Crew, along with urban legend Mike Skinner adding experience and history to the lineup.
Ska outfit Gentleman’s Dub Club bring the splash of live music to switch things up, with Donae’o, General Levy and The Heatwave ready to bring those party bangers and get the people dancing. Logan Sama b2b Sir Spyro (a UK festival exclusive) and P-Money beef out the underground sound for the grime-heads.
Even with all this – the three main headliners are yet to be revealed! Last year Strawberries and Creem came through with the late unveiling of global superstar Nelly – a UK festival exclusive for 2016… If that is anything to go by, the upcoming announcement of three huge acts is expected to blow you out of the water.
Labelled as ‘a mainstay of the UK festival circuit’, the one-day music event is one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent festivals, having doubled in size every year since its beginnings in 2014.
On 17th June, Strawberries & Creem – which began as a party on a farm just three years ago – will hold over 10,000 party people, continuing its meteoric rise, alongside the UK music scene.
This year there are three arenas – with Mixmag and Link Up TV hosting the dance tent and grime stage respectively, plus the main stage (remember those mystery headliners?). Deliveroo once again will provide a banquet area to provide fuel for the dance.
The festival was home to Skepta’s first UK festival performance of the summer in 2015, and hosted another huge grime act in Kano last year – always backing the sound of the UK, alongside household names such as Nelly. All this, in a sleepy city known mainly for its university.
Strawberries & Creem is on 17th June. Tickets for £40 at strawberriesandcreem.com.
