Revisiting Elizabeth Basile

In this fast paced industry we don’t always get to an opportunity to reconnect with the artists we feature. We are always keen to see how things have moved on and where possible be a part of their creative journey. Today we are Revisiting Elizabeth Basile.

It’s wonderful to be back and welcome you again into my creative world. My name is Elizabeth Basile, I am a self taught Artist /Designer illustrator from Melbourne Australia.

As a young child my inspiration for creativity grew watching my father  painting wonderful memories of his life.

Since my last published feature, in Niji Magazine.  I found my passion for design and  illustrations. My creative work stems from my background in working in the fashion industry. It has fuelled my ideas in creating my Divas and fabic designs. My Divas embrace and celebrate the individuality of women.

The Under The Sea Series illustrations are my new found passion. My curiosity of the mysterious and beauty of what lies under the sea.

Since my last feature,  I have sold prints of my Diva’s and illustrations of Under The Sea Series. I will be exhibiting my work this year in various Art Exhibitions in Melbourne. I look forward to collaborating with a fellow Artist Fleure Vaslet and I am excited for our combined exhibition later in the year.

Owners Annabelle and Megan from Emerging Art Australia have selected my Artwork to exhibit in a group exhibition. I am very excited to participate in this Exhibition at the Inner Space Gallery, which runs from April 20th to May 3rd 2017.

I have collaborated with owner Idit of The Pomegranate Tree Specialising home-wares and gifts in Melbourne. Were you can purchase my Under The Sea Series and other illustrations.

Owner of Your Secret Closet Belinda Bert – a designer hire boutique in Melbourne.  Belinda has my Diva’s on display for purchase in her boutique.

I am grateful to Niji Magazine for giving this opportunity once again. Your continuous support  has given me strength to  continue with my artist journey.

I look forward to what the future brings.
