Introducing Tideway

Tideway is a four piece Alternative Rock band hailing from the cornfields of the Midwest. Drawing influence from bands like Foo Fighters, Weezer, Helmet, and Soundgarden. Tideway combines heavy riffage with catchy vocals to create the ultimate sonic experience.

Tideway is comprised of frontmen Samuel Gilchrist (Vocals/Lead Guitar) and Trent Gaddie (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Scott Carver (Vocals/Bass), and Will Mercer (Drums/Comedic Relief), who formed the final lineup in the summer of 2015.

In February of 2016, Tideway hit the studio for the Tired and Dumb EP (mixed and mastered by Matt Jansen). The EP varies widely from Cage the Elephant-esque tracks such as “Is This a Hot Topic?” to Helmet infused grunge-metal such as “Hard Hat”.

Shortly after, Tideway returned to the studio to record Yawedit (mixed by Naughty Dog Studios mastered by SOMEONE). Following traditional Tideway fashion, the album displays hard-hitting tracks like “Sip” and “Arnie Palmie” juxtaposed by pop-rock songs “Green Pedals” and “The Hey is For Horses Song”.

One of Wichita’s youngest groups, Tideway hopes to continue to grow alongside a burgeoning Midwest music scene. While nothing is in the works, the group hopes to record more material in the near future.

Yawedit is available now on iTunes.
