What or who inspired you to begin a career in music?

I’ve been doing music since I was young, always singing in choirs and school plays. Then my friend Jnotes told me to take music serious because he believed I could go far.

What differs you and your sound from other artists in the music industry?

No one can box me in and say this is his sound. I’m just universal and people don’t understand that, so it confuses them.

Your new EP ‘A F R O W A V E’ is out now. Can you please describe the creative process and inspiration behind the project?

The ‘A F R O S W A V E’ EP is a fusion on R&B and Afro beats, listening to the likes of Adekunle Gold, Wiz Kid, Chris Brown, and Usher. I’ve created ‘afroswave’ which is blended together to make this project.

Throughout your musical career, have you experienced any ‘wow’ moments?

Yes, when I went on tour with M Huncho, Kojo Funds and supported Ramz on his headline show. There were my biggest wow moments.

What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?

“Opinions ain’t facts take them in and let them go”, Chip said that.

What does the foreseeable future hold for you as an artist?

I want to enjoy every moment of it and take every day as an opportunity to share my music and experiences.

Anything else you would like to add?

I’m excited for the opportunity to feature on your platform.

‘A F R O W A V E’ is available now via all major platforms.
