Introducing Dead For The Weekend

Dead For The Weekend are a London-based group formed in 2015. Their debut EP, ‘Velvet Skies,’ released in May 2016, has been extremely well-received, having already been shortlisted by BBC Introducing.

Dead For The Weekend has a strong lyrical and melodic presence in all of their songs, such as their lead single, “Velvet Skies,” an atmospheric, driving number.

The band’s diverse influences range from jazz to metal; they write a wide range of styles, though some core influences include Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Oasis and Neil Young. They have also recorded numerous side projects with members of Muse, Gorillaz and the legendary Canterbury band Caravan.

Their second single, “There’s Nothing For Us Now,” showcases a harder edge to the band with heavy guitar riffs and powerful drums.

The band is currently playing live shows in London and recording music for their second EP release.
