Meet Shazwany Aziz

Shazwany Aziz is an artist living and working in Singapore. Often intrigued by the unknown and the known of the everyday, Shazwany uses time, space, situations and unspoken ideas to capture fleeting moments of daily life.

Working predominantly in drawings, paintings and prints, the abstract language is explored by way of textures, tones, shapes and patterns within a composition.

Her work has been exhibited around Singapore and abroad, including ‘Berdakwat,’ at Shophouse 5, Chan Hampe Gallery Singapore, and ‘Repetition as Obsession’ at O Gallery London.

She is currently having a group show, ‘Every Move You Make’ at Brother Joseph McNally Gallery, at the Institute of Contemporary Art, which ends till Feb 23, 2017.

Shazwany also has been featured in a variety of local media outlets, including D+A (Design and Architecture) Magazine, Suria MediaCorp, Berita Harian and She is at present, the treasurer of Singapore Contemporary Young Artists and received a BFA in 2010 from LASALLE College of the Arts.
