Introducing Australian Blues Rock artist, Hamish Anderson

Australia’s Blues Rock artist, 26 year old Hamish Anderson, was named a Top 10 “Best New Artists in 2016” by Yahoo! Musician 2016 after releasing his debut album, Trouble, to stellar reviews from Elmore Magazine, Relix Magazine, Rock Cellar Magazine, Premier Guitar and various other music blogs. He was the last artist to tour with BB King in 2014 and since then has opened for Drive By Truckers, Vintage Trouble, Mud Morganfield, Robert Cray, Blues Travelers, Los Lobos, Wynonna Judd and The Rides (featuring Stephen Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Barry Goldberg).

In 2015 his song “Burn” won Best Blues Song by the Independent Music Awards. Trouble was produced by Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Ryan Adams) — includes appearances by Johnny Radelat (Gary Clark Jr) and Aaron Sterling (John Mayer) and Chris Bruce (Meshell Ndegeocello).

Shortly after the release, KCSN’s Jim Nelson included Trouble as a Top 10 Best New Album in 2016, the single “Trouble” appears on Spotify’s Blues & Roots Rock Official playlist and Songpickr, a premiere Spotify playlist curator, included the album Trouble as one of the Top 50 Albums of 2016.

In 2017, Hamish performed 11 sets during SXSW, and has appeared at US festivals such as Firefly, Mountain Jam, High Sierra, Summerfest, Big Blues Bender, Echo Park Rising, Telluride Blues Festival and Canada’s RBC Bluesfest Ottawa.
