UK singer-songwriter Eleanor presents her second pure-pop solo project entitled ‘Under My Skin’

Known for being the female half of Manchester’s glossy pop-synth sibling duo Girl Friend, Eleanor now brings a new aesthetic to the electro/disco pop band – her distinctly more pop direction has already propelled the band’s status as a Mancunian cult favourite.

Whereas Eleanor’s vocals previously saw Girl Friend tracks ‘Tragic On The Dancefloor’, ‘Hello Stranger’ and ‘At This time of Year’ receive acclaim across the tastemaker spectrum incl. The Line of Best Fit, CLASH and NYLON, the charismatic front woman now presents her second pure-pop solo project – this is cool, synth pop with a barbed, unrelenting edge.

Following the critical success of her debut ‘All I Want’ earlier this year, Eleanor now comes through with another arch, perceptively slow-burning lesson in emotion. Speaking on the track, Eleanor states: “It’s about the all-consuming feeling of love. Being so immersed with one person you feel intertwined and as one… ‘I can feel your heart beat – under my skin’. It’s a pure love song with a sense of naivety prevailing throughout which comes from the nature of being young and inexperienced.”
