Raised in Princeton NJ, Sarah Miles now resides in Atlanta where she frequently travels to Nashville for songwriting sessions. Her music is empowering, authentic, and stylistically touches upon country and pop. It’s an infectious blend of accessible song-craft and bold emotional candor. She has garnered comparisons to a broad array of artists such as Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, and Colbie Caillat.
Sarah has gorgeously flowing dynamics as a singer, capable of euphoric skyward melodies and intimately fragile phrasing.
When asked about some of her musical highlights, Sarah explains, “I have had the privilege to tour with and open for acclaimed singer-songwriters such as Rachel Platten, Sister Hazel, Teddy Geiger, Tony Lucca and Ingram Hill. I was also invited to perform in the New York Songwriters Circle and at Nashville’s famous Bluebird Café.”
To add to her long line of musical achievements Sarah has recently been chosen as a Grand Prize Session II winner of the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC) for her original country song, ‘Stay.’
Founded in 1997, the JLSC is a premiere international, year-long competition open to both amateur and professional songwriters in 12 categories. Sarah’s composition will now move forward and compete on the 1st May for the Lennon Award in the country category. The winner will compete for ‘Song of the Year’ in all categories this July.
Speaking on accolade, Sarah states:
“I am beyond ecstatic to have “Stay” receive such an honor and I am so thankful to my co-writers Matthew Heath and Noel Goff for helping me bring this song to life. My goal is always to write songs that are relatable to everyone and I am very humbled to receive this recognition. My mind is truly blown!”
‘Stay’ is currently the #1 song on Atlanta station 94.9 The Bull’s Backyard Country program. Additionally, her original song ‘Something About You’ was featured on NBC’s The Voice and was a finalist in the Music City Songwriting Competition. Her latest release ‘Heartbeat’ has been in rotation on Sirius XM The Pulse.
‘Stay’ and ‘Heartbeat’ are available now via Apple Music and all major digital outlets.
