Introducing The States, a 5 piece Indie band from Ocala, Florida


is dating another race a sin Joshua, Matt and Richie became an Indie folk rock trio. They gigged around their hometown for a while until they met Drummer, Bryan. Evolving and growing from their folk origins they got to work on perfecting their sound. After recording debut single ‘As Cruel As Youth’ The States began a year of gigs across Florida. They began work on EP, Cathedral and entered Pioneer Studios in Cassleberry FL, to start the recording process with the addition of Walker on Keys and backing vocals. Now officially a 5 piece and with the release of Cathedral in the summer of 2017, The States have caught the eye of fans and promoters alike.

All brought together with a rhythm section that drives them along like a locomotive steam engine. Their sound is a mash up of the eclectic backgrounds they hail from that come together to give a stadium worthy, wall of sound, rarely heard in a band so young. The States show no signs of slowing down with the epic track that is Wilder Things being used for the closing credits and soundtrack of the multi nominated (soon to be award winning) short film Contract. And, the incredibly catchy and high energy rock n roll throwback, Circles being licensed for the upcoming release of 3D basketball simulation game Ball Out.
