A collective of young creatives looking to make their mark on the UK music scene: Introducing Forest Road

Forest Road are a collective of young creatives from Nottingham looking to make their mark on the UK music scene. Formed in 2014, the group assumed their name when living on Forest Road last year. During this time they produced tracks for local talent like Kamar and last Spring even performed a grime set with MC’s like JDot and Phidizz.

The collective are now trying to transcend their label as producers, and with the support of BBC Introducing they have released two tracks this year. Their newest release ‘Rising’ has proved popular with BBC introducing East Midlands, and the single has been forwarded to national radio station BBC 1Xtra. The groups influences include artists like Bladee, Octavian and M huncho and they are avid fans of local artists including Jay Eye, Shadxw and Mez.

Forest Road are still discovering their sound and their releases reflect this, whilst Broken is a gloomy, dark track. On the other hand their newest release ‘Rising’ has vibes very much synonymous with the upbeat, current sounds found across the UK scene with artists like Just Banco and M Huncho.
