An edgy, female-empowered anthem: ‘Comfie’ is the new single from Indian-Swiss singer-songwriter, Ta’Shan

Having supported the likes of Sean Paul, Ryan Leslie and Lil Jon in her native Switzerland, London-based artist Ta’Shan releases her new single ‘Comfie’.

‘Comfie’ is an edgy, female-empowered anthem described by Ta’Shan as ‘about being unapologetically yourself, not caring about what anybody thinks and being comfortable in your skin and situation no matter what. Creps on, heels off—every girl will know what I am talking about!’

The Indian-Swiss singer was born Shanta Azalea Venkatesh. Her unique sound is influenced by her multi-cultural upbringing and sees a fusion of R&B, reggaeton and dancehall with an Indian twist, which has grabbed the attention of UK industry A&Rs as well as media partners such as BBC Asian Network.

Last year she self-released “We Get It”, which gained support from urban radio stations including Reprezent Radio, The Beat FM, Westside Radio, Pulse 88 FM. This year she’s been in the studio working with the likes of Mokuba Lives, The Lab, Benji Miller, Bento, Eddie Serfica, Zie Zie and iLL Blu. Watch this space for more music from Ta’Shan in 2018.
