Tabitha Jade, the rapidly emerging Urban Artist, has scooped a multitude of awards; National Song writing 2015 (Sony & Universal), nominated BOB Unsigned Music Awards Best Female 2017, Best Live Act 2018 Lifestyle Awards, Winner of Best Female Urban (Radio Online) 2017, and Winner of OpenMic UK 2017 with her sister Eliza Mai. June 2018 she received a special award from Song Academy for vocals & production, and was one of the coveted LIMF Academy Top 20 & One To Watch 2017 confirming her as one of the UK’s top Teens. Dec 2018 saw the artist receive her most significant achievement to date, nominated as Urban Music Awards One to Watch 2018.
She is no stranger to main stages at the UK’s premier festivals, described at Africa Oye 2019 as “being impressive on Main Stage and having genuine star potential”. She had a busy 2018/19 which culminated in opening the Main stage at Manchester Pride with her 4 pc band supporting Rita Ora, Alexandra Burke, and Sigala.
The writer singer is currently play listed nationally across Independent, Online and local Radio stations, and is regularly featured on BBC Introducing. Sept 2016 saw her live performance of song What You Were Like played on BBC1Xtra with an interview with DJ Target. In May 2017 demo Nothing On Me received another BBC1Xtra play from DJ Ace.
Over the last 12 months she has refined her sound, and has dropped a number of Afro inspired releases. Mindreader, Right Here, and Caught Up all being featured on BBC Introducing with Caught Up receiving support from BBC1Xtra and notched up 20k views in a month debuting on GRM Daily.
