Taken from her forthcoming debut EP, ‘I’m Gone’ is the latest release from Swedish-Jamaican artist and creator, Shenie Fogo

Following the positive reception received from her 90’s and early 00’s inspired single ‘Make A Move’, Swedish-Jamaican artist and creator, Shenie Fogo, shares the final teaser single from her forthcoming debut EP with ‘I’m Gone’.

Building on the consistent momentum of releases and buzz created with ‘4AM’ and ‘Mood’, plus the latest single that currently sits at #8 on Music Week’s Urban Club Chart, she presents a nostalgic feel with the accompaniment of commanding yet fluid vocals on the new single, where she makes the bold “’I’m gone” statement throughout.

Speaking on the track, Shenie said: “I wanted to continue and build on my take of that classic R&B sound. ‘I’m Gone’ still flirts with those nice 90’s lyrics and melodies but the beat is hard!” she explains.

“As I dance myself, I want people to be able to really dance and workout to this. I want it to move you at any time of the day no matter what mood you’re in!”

Growing up in Stockholm, Shenie always had a passion for creating and expressing herself through the avenue of art. Dancing every day of the week and singing every remaining hour as a child, she quickly leaned towards the idea of making music and started her journey, teaming up with producer iSHi.

With the upcoming debut EP serving as a tribute to her favourite songs, artists, and genre that inspired her so heavily as a child, Shenie looks ahead to the release of her first body of work and the launch event to mark the occasion on August 23rd. As we enter into the remaining months of the year, this rising R&B talent is set to remain on a high, as she sees out a memorable Summer.

With firm support from radio and tastemakers alike incl. NOCTIS MAGAZINE, Shenie’s modern take on an influential and iconic era of music continues to create a natural intrigue surrounding her as an artist, in what will continue to mark a monumental 2019.
