Pieced together with a stellar line up of artists, the 12-track album is centred around key themes of the film and encapsulates true British talent as well as supporting emerging stars from UK’s capital. Covering several genres, the Blue Story compilation is a cultural melting point of music, focused on showcasing Rapman’s unique vision and great aptitude for storytelling. The album stands as an audio embodiment of Rapman’s personal take on London’s gut-wrenching postcode war, exploring emotions from anger and fear to love and compassion.

Scheduled for release on November 15th, Blue Story [the album] is a hard-hitting record, delivering cut throat lyricism, unwavering creativity and true south London swagger. The perfect accompaniment, this solid body of work has been cleverly curated to convey the narrative of Rapman’s highly acclaimed cinema debut.

No stranger to delivering impactful screen shorts, Rapman has a natural gift for creating powerful visuals with equally strong messages. Having worked with various charities to create art surrounding issues such as domestic violence and blood cancer, 2018 saw the South-East London native capture the attention of young black London with his sensational Shiro’s Story trilogy. The piece which explored the life of a young Black man from South London created an enormous buzz when elements of betrayal, violence, sex and loyalty were thrown into the mix. Easily one of the most realistic depictions of London’s inner-city blues, Shiro’s Story garnered numerous accolades and media interest including coverage in The Guardian, The Standard & The BBC. Having attracted the attention of Hip-Hop legend JAY-Z, Rapman signed an exclusive deal with Roc Nation management and label, which set the wheels in motion for his cinema debut, Blue Story.

A tragic tale of a friendship between Timmy and Marco, Blue Story focuses on the lives of two young boys from opposing postcodes.
