It has been three years since Hatty Keane graced us with her well-received debut EP, “Nostalgia.” During this time, Keane has been hard at work, writing and crafting the long-awaited follow-up, “Groove Parlour,” while also venturing into the world of beauty with her own brand.
The EP kicks off with the title track, “Groove Parlour,” immediately immersing listeners in Keane’s funky realm. Her floaty psychedelic vocals glide over a thumping disco-funky groove, igniting a fire that is ready to be stoked.
On the following track and lead single, “Got To Love,” Keane truly shines, delivering soulful vibrations reminiscent of Cheryl Lynn and Sylvia. The EP continues to ebb and flow with soulful disco bangers like “Tic Tacs” and “Oh What A Night,” and then transitions smoothly to the sun-kissed sounds of “Thailand,” where Keane sings about island hopping and sipping cocktails.
As the EP concludes, Keane invites you to sit back, relax, and listen to “Record In My Head.” Here, we see a more jazzy, bluesy, and sultry side of her artistry.
