Faith Richards is an R&B artist whose soulful, cinematic sound bridges dark pop and alternative influences with raw, journal-like storytelling. Raised between Junction City, Kansas, Nottingham in England, and Los Angeles, California, she developed an open-minded and ever-evolving perspective that pulses through her music. Now based in Dallas, Texas, Richards continues to build a global following with her blend of sensuality, introspection and emotional authenticity.
Her latest single “Private Star”, co-produced with longtime collaborator Prairies (Jordan Iacovella), captures the artist stepping boldly into her sensual power. Written in two chapters, first in Paris in 2022 while working as an au pair, and later completed in her Dallas apartment in 2025, the song embodies a striking duality. “I was definitely in two completely different places in my life,” Richards reflects. “In Paris, I was confidently single and writing nonstop. When I finished the song years later, I was completely in love and much more confident in my voice and perspective.”
The result is a track steeped in cinematic allure and magnetic control, inspired by a vivid image of a dancer in a private room, commanding attention and igniting the space through pure confidence and sexual power. “I was channelling a stripper’s confidence and the power they have over men,” she says. “It is pretty cool that we all have the ability to step into anyone’s confidence, but we often let the fear of being perceived or rejected stop us.”
“Private Star” offers an early glimpse into Richards’ upcoming sophomore album, set for release in summer 2026, a project she describes as instinctive and liberating. Exploring alternative R&B, dark pop and cinematic soul without boundaries, she explains: “It is so freeing to not be bound by structure or genre. I feel like I am creating my best and most authentic art yet.”
With over 13 million streams, 300,000 Shazams, and hundreds of placements across Netflix shows including Love Is Blind, The Ultimatum and Temptation Island, Faith Richards has built an impressive foundation as an independent artist. Her previous releases include two EPs, I’m Right Here (2019) and You Make Me So… (2019), along with her debut album I’ll Bloom When I’m Ready (2021). She has performed at notable venues such as The Hotel Café, Black Rabbit Rose and Le Baiser Salé in Paris, and has been featured in Rolling Stone India, EARMILK and Noctis Magazine, with live interviews and airplay on BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC East Midlands and BBC Introducing.

Beyond music, Richards’ artistry extends into fashion and visual storytelling, merging her love of thrifting with timeless editorial aesthetics. With an Associate of Arts in Acting from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, she brings cinematic emotion to her performances on stage and on screen.
Faith Richards stands as a rising voice in R&B, an independent artist carving her own path while shaping a future at the intersection of music, fashion and performance.
