Loie

Loie, the South London-born singer-songwriter, is back with her soul-stirring new single, ‘Superpowers’, a track celebrating the transformative strength of love. Known for her delicate and intimate vocal style, Loie’s latest offering merges R&B, soul, and pop, creating an atmosphere that’s both warm and uplifting.

The song opens with Loie’s distinctive, ethereal vocals, layered over minimal yet emotive production. Her lyrical depth shines as she sings, “and you don’t even know, how far we could go, happens every time we touch, didn’t know what it was, now I know it’s just us, to infinity and beyond.” Glistening keys and syncopated drum patterns form the perfect foundation for Loie’s harmonies and nostalgic backing vocals, embodying the track’s message of powerful, authentic connection.

Talking about the single, Loie shares,

“‘Superpowers’ is about recognising the incredible strength that love gives us. It’s an anthem for everyone who has experienced that special connection that makes you feel unstoppable.”

A Brit School graduate, Loie draws from legendary voices like Nina Simone, Sade, and Jill Scott while infusing her sound with modern influences like Cleo Sol and Snoh Aalegra. She has already gained support from some of London’s top female DJs, including Hannah Wants, Jamz Supernova, and Nadia Jae, and has been featured on BBC Asia, BBC Radio 1, and Spotify editorials such as NWF and Fresh Finds.

Coming off her acclaimed EP What We Become, Loie has new music on the horizon, with plans to release an LP in collaboration with producers Ben Jones and Jake Edwards in 2025. With ‘Superpowers’ setting the tone, 2024 is looking to be a breakout year for Loie.
