Having written her first song in Latvia at the age of 10, Kee grew up idolizing artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and later on, Rihanna and Sia. Now, a star in her field, Keeana Kee is dominating the Latin-pop scene. Although she was discouraged to do so, Kee came out as gay and emphasized the importance of staying true to herself, and is now a huge advocate of LGBTQI rights and the importance of empowering others, as seen in her collection of tracks. Keeana Kee’s indomitable spirit to encourage others to be their true selves, even if it goes against the expectations of others, is a mission that she is fighting everyday.
Since moving to New York City four years ago, Keeana Kee has gone from strength to strength. Her new single ‘My Queen’ follows on from the success of her debut single ‘Love in the Elevator’ and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
