Daee is unquestionably talented and ‘Fallen’ is a track that can prove exactly that. The production is perfect, the instrumental was wonderfully selected, her lyrics were relatable, and her singing voice is a work of majesty. Despite this, the track itself seems to be lacking something to really pull the listener in. Sure, ‘Fallen’ is a song that one can tap their foot and sing along with, but there is an absence of that certain something that can captivate an audience.
Besides being quite short, the track seems almost too basic in its construction. I would have loved to see a more complex lyrical composition, a more emphatic display of her vocal talents, or even a stylistic change-up as the track progressed. Though I was left wanting, Daee has still gained a fan today and ‘Fallen’ is still a track that you should definitely give a listen.
