Hannah Smith is a fashion, beauty and music photographer currently studying at Norwich University of the Arts but will be graduating in the summer. Hannah is interested in showing beauty and the surreal through her work and research into the. Philosophical ideals behind them. Through the research and use of colour and composition, she intends to look into what defines beauty and fragility to create something captivating.
Hannahs most recent projects have been collaborations with Art Director and Fine Artist Bethany Freer (bfree-r.co.uk) looking into the way that light touches the face and experimenting with manually adding the light through another medium.
The first shoot they created had the light manually drawn on using Makeup with the help of an MUA. They then recruited Fine Artist Nayeon Kang, who creates her artwork using coloured tape, to create the light contours on the models face and then flowing into the backgrounds.
The artists worked together to create a colour scheme and designs for the shoot that would contrast but work well with the models selected. The models were then shot in a fashion and beauty photographic style to create a commercial photographic practice that looked into the conceptual aspects of the coloured lighting, beauty and other artists practices.
