What inspired you to begin a career in music?

At around age 10 I was into acting. My brother is an actor and all I wanted to do is follow in his footsteps.

When I turned 12 years old I started freestyle with a bunch of friends, just as a joke and for fun. When I turned 15 I really started to take it seriously. I went to college to learn about music and that’s where I really started networking and meeting loads of new people. College is where I realised music is really for me and the rest is history!

What differs you and your sound from other up and coming artists in the music industry?

I think I differ because I’m aiming to breakthrough with a hip hop & pop sound. I have the ability to story tell, make you dance and entertain my audience with an ear capturing experience.

Your latest release ‘Vision’ is out now. Can you please describe the creative process and explain the meaning behind the track?

Vision is a collaboration with a sick artist called YN. YN showed me what he had and played me the beat. I knew I needed to do a madness over it – I loved it! We actually done a few songs together, but ‘Vision’ was the one we all agreed was the strongest. We sat on it during lockdown and we were desperate to shoot a video. The minute they set us free from quarantine, we executed it.

Everyone experiences good days and bad days, as a musician, when you have a bad day, what motivates you to keep moving and look ahead to the future?

Just recently I started to lose motivation. I’m actually still trying to snap out of it. My manager is the one that helps me to see when I’m slacking.

In your own opinion, what is the most meaningful song you wrote? What makes you say that one?

I’ve got a song coming out in January. The song is called ‘The Conversation’. My manager and I were just having a discussion about stuff we have seen and what’s currently going on in the world. During the conversation the topics of racism, false rape allegations and knife crime were all key in our discussion.  With that being said, we actually planned the music video before I wrote the song! Being able to discuss these topics and story tell, I felt this song was so powerful. With music and anything I do, I want to create impact.

Throughout your musical career, have you experienced any ‘wow’ moments? Those moments that you stop to reflect and can’t believe you are where you are?

Yep! Last year I had no direction and didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I was in a vicious cycle of inconsistency. Since working with my management I’ve been Sweden to work with multi Grammy nominated producers (shout out to Wilhelmina) and I now have a consistent flow of music.

What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?

I would say – be consistent and continue to perfect your craft. Don’t be afraid to ask because as one of my managers always says ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get’.

What does the foreseeable future hold for you as an artist?

I will be releasing music every single month! Right now my aim is to be consistent!

Did you learn any new skills during lockdown?

I’ve just tried to study the game! Networking, reading & watching interviews, trying to hear people’s journey.

‘Vision’ is available now via all major platforms.
