V.I.C releases swagger filled new single ‘She Said’

Rising British rapper, producer, and creative V.I.C returns with his brand new single “She Said”, released on January 22 2026. Known for a sound that blends sharp lyricism with bold stylistic confidence, the track reinforces V.I.C’s reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging voices in rap.

Described as “raw, stylish, and disruptive” by WONDERLAND, praised for “swagger and expert lyricism” by NME, and labelled “one of UK rap’s most versatile rising stars” by CLASH, V.I.C continues to build momentum with music that feels both considered and fearless.

“She Said” arrives as a sleek trap record infused with East Coast influence. Built on bold, retro fitted samples and potent percussion, the production creates a hazy yet commanding atmosphere for V.I.C to showcase his distinctive cadence and lyrical focus. The track balances confidence with introspection, offering a sharp narration of ambition, self belief, and clarity of purpose.

Lyrically, V.I.C breezes past competition while addressing the confusion and self doubt that can surface when navigating new relationships. Rather than lingering on uncertainty, the song reframes these moments as fuel, reinforcing themes of integrity, drive, and forward motion.

Speaking on the record, V.I.C explains,

“‘She Said’ is a comment on the social media stereotype of what girls say they want versus what they actually want. I’m both the storyteller and a victim of this trap. The way I see it, if a guy focuses on his purpose and hustles and makes something of himself, whether the girl you’re seeing has expensive taste or not, both parties are winning. I also wanted to create a song that girls can use to flex and show off like they did when they were younger, cosplaying like princesses.”

2025 marked another standout year for V.I.C. With acclaimed releases and performances across Europe, he continued to sharpen his sound and expand his reach. His EP VARÏANT collected over 6.5 million streams and earned tastemaker support from outlets including WONDERLAND and NOTION, while recent singles “40 Doors” and “Cole Palmer” further cemented his creative identity.

Delivering vintage textures with a sharpened UK edge, V.I.C has made it clear that he is carving out his own lane rather than waiting for permission. This momentum culminated in a prominent performance on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds Festival, sharing the space with artists such as Loyle Carner and Kofi Stone. The performance drew praise from NME, who referenced 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ when reflecting on V.I.C’s determination and cross border appeal.

He closed out the year with another powerful appearance at the BBC INTRO showcase at The Lower Third, performing alongside MOBO nominated artists DC3 and JayaHadADream, further establishing himself as a significant voice in British music.

Born in Nigeria before finding refuge in London, V.I.C’s journey is deeply woven into his music. That story was first captured on his debut EP Bedroom Chronicles, which explored identity, resilience, and the realities of growing up in the capital. Breakout tracks such as “A Teen” helped propel him into wider recognition, including placement on the official FIFA 22 soundtrack.

Now sitting on over 42 million streams, with support from CLASH, COLORS, GRM DAILY, BBC Radio 1, and more, V.I.C continues to expand his influence. With sold out UK shows including Camden Assembly and a growing international audience, his inner city documentation and artistic confidence show no signs of slowing.

With “She Said”, V.I.C reinforces his position as a serious creative force, pushing UK rap forward with clarity, swagger, and a vision that continues to sharpen with every release.
