At only 14 years old, Gemma Schito is a young artist navigating the emotional distance between two worlds. Her journey began in late 2022 when she moved from the sun drenched shores of Palermo to the electric streets of London. This transition sits at the heart of her music, blending bittersweet nostalgia for her roots with a growing love for the British capital’s creative energy.

Currently honing her craft at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School, Gemma has embraced London’s creative intensity, finding the perfect environment to transform the growing pains of adolescence into relatable Pop Rock anthems that speak with honesty and confidence.

Her artistic journey is a dialogue between different versions of herself. In her debut single, “Smile Like She Did”, she looks back at a childhood photo from Sicily with a mix of longing and wisdom, singing: “There is a her without me, but there is no me without her”. It’s a reflection on the loss of innocence, yet it’s in London that Gemma has found the strength to protect that inner light.

This resilience shines through in her latest release, “Another Stupid Fight” (January 2026). Here, the nostalgia fades, making room for Gemma’s fiery and combative spirit as she tackles the exhaustion of toxic and manipulative relationships.

Tired of the ‘back and forth’ and the ‘pointless stupid fights,’ she asserts her boundaries with the grit of a true performer, declaring she won’t be caught in the same ‘old tricks’. It is a powerful anthem of rebellion and self-respect, marking the moment she decides to break free from a cycle of guilt and hurt to protect her true self.

Looking ahead to 2026, Gemma continues to peel back the layers of modern life. Her upcoming tracks, “Mask” and “Perfection,” dive into the exhausting pressure of social expectations. Whether she is singing about the fear of being just a “shadow in my own song” or the scream of silence against the demand to “fit the mold,” Gemma remains authentic to her core.

As she puts it:

“Music is taking every experience into emotion, giving it voice, and keeping it alive in the soul.”

By blending her bilingual heritage with powerful, edgy vocals, Gemma Schito is sending a clear message to her peers: embrace your truth, stand your ground, and never let your spark fade.
