‘Crazy Cousinz’ ft Rebecca Garton is the new heat from singer-songwriter, rapper, & producer Levelle London

Remaining consistent with his work rate as he continues to tease his forthcoming mixtape release, celebrated singer, rapper, songwriter and producer Levelle London drops new heat with “Crazy Cousinz”.

Teaming up with RnB star and fellow artist Rebecca Garton for the new single, the pair perfectly compliment each other with their smooth vocals and Levelle’s genre fluid approach radiating against the laid back production. With a nod to UK music giants included, it’s another high quality contribution from the multi-faceted creative.

Speaking on the track, he explained: “Crazy Cousinz” is based on a flirtatious conversation between two people at the party. The idea for the chorus came from a party I went to when I was young. A girl had some crazy cousins in the party who didn’t want her dancing with anybody. I freestyled the hook and played on the name of the production duo ‘Crazy Cousinz’ mentioning lyrics from some of their classic songs “Bongo Jam” and “Do You Mind”.

“The collab with Rebecca was long awaited, as we work from the same camp and I have written and worked on some of her singles. I could really imagine her tone on this beat, so I didn’t hesitate to phone her as soon as I made my verse. Rebecca agreed, came to the studio and the rest was history.”

Serving as the last teaser to this month’s mixtape release, previously released hits “Why U Here?” and “Need Some Time” have continued to build anticipation for the project’s release, with Levelle’s work rate, diverse writing ability and style receiving ongoing praise.

Using music as an outlet at a time where he faced challenges of homelessness and depression, Levelle’s ability to hone in on his craft and use his situation to develop his artistry hasn’t gone unnoticed over the years. Initially capturing the attention of many after the release of his 2016 mixtape ‘Traits Of An Empath Vol. 1’ and attaining three sold out headline shows, to opening up for the likes of renowned artists Ella Mai, Cardi B, Ebenezer, and Geko, his seductive style and relatable content matter have continued to make him one to watch amongst credited tastemakers and radio to date (Complex, Clash, Viper Magazine, GRM Daily, Guap Magazine, Mixtape Madness, The Independent, Tribe Urban Radio).

With all eyes on the emerging artist as the forthcoming mixtape follows in the footsteps of 2020’s ‘Dusk’ and 2019’s ‘Cold Summer Nights’ success, it’s just the beginning as he continues to take the reins in navigating his own path.
