Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean to Celebrate The Score 30th Anniversary at Diaspora Calling! | 7 Aug 26

Diaspora Calling! has announced that Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean will perform The Score in its entirety as part of the festival’s landmark UK debut at Milton Keynes National Bowl on Friday 7th August 2026. Final tickets selling fast!

Marking the 30th anniversary of one of the most influential albums ever released, the performance will see two of The Fugees’ founding members reunite to celebrate the record that redefined hip hop and left an enduring mark on global music. It will be the only opportunity in the UK to experience this special anniversary performance.

Originally released in February 1996, The Score became both a commercial and critical phenomenon. The Fugees’ second and final studio album debuted at number one in the United States, topped charts around the world, and has sold more than 22 million copies globally. Three decades later, it remains one of the best selling and most culturally significant rap albums of all time.

Blending hip hop, soul, R&B and reggae with remarkable ease, The Score showcased the unmistakable artistry of Ms. Lauryn Hill alongside Wyclef Jean’s visionary musicianship and production. The album produced timeless classics including Killing Me Softly, Ready or Not, Fu Gee La and How Many Mics, songs that continue to influence artists and audiences around the world.

The historic performance forms the centrepiece of Diaspora Calling!, the cultural platform originally conceived by Ms. Lauryn Hill in 2016 to celebrate the creativity, heritage and shared histories of the African diaspora. Making its UK debut, the event brings together an exceptional line up spanning generations and genres.

Wyclef Jean

Joining Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean are neo soul pioneer Erykah Badu, rising stars YG Marley and Zion Marley, UK rap heavyweight Giggs, and Nigerian Afrobeats star Fireboy DML. Award winning comedian Dave Chappelle will host the event, bringing his distinctive voice and perspective to the day’s celebrations.

More than a music festival, Diaspora Calling! has been designed as a large scale cultural gathering that celebrates artistic excellence, legacy and community across the global African diaspora. Set against the backdrop of Milton Keynes National Bowl, one of the UK’s most iconic outdoor venues, the event promises to be one of the defining cultural moments of the summer.
