Following the success of his 2020 EP Project ‘She Knows’, rising vocalist and songwriter Kaleem Taylor has more addictive music for your ears.
This year he has collaborated with emerging producer The Code to bring you an RnB infused EP project, due for a May release. Teasers of the project include the singles ‘How Does It Feel’ and ‘Broken’ which have already received an incredible response. Continuing the soulful and nostalgic tones, ‘Gone’ is now the final single release before receiving the project in its entirety.
Speaking on the track, they said “”Gone” is about not allowing people to get close until you decide to. Wanting things on your terms and then before you know it, they’re gone.”
The Code is known as a faceless producer who believes that his music is bigger than he is. “The idea behind it is that it can be anyone, it is true formlessness. The music is something that is completely genre-less, and therefore there are no limits.”
Being a fellow artist himself, though unknown by face, he’s certainly no stranger to the industry. With five credible projects of his own released to date, where he flexes both his singing and production skills, his ability to connect with audiences whilst keeping his persona hidden is a trait to be admired in a social media driven society.
Following 2019’s ‘Surface’ which amassed over 3M+ streams on Spotify alone Kaleem Taylor is no stranger to the scene, originally getting his start as a Neo-Soul artist and going on to have chart success with a feature on Parisian DJ Tchami’s 2013 club hit ‘Promesses’, he continues to demonstrate his talents as a strong vocalist and undeniable talent in today’s scene.
Going on to work with renowned producers including DJ Snake and Tchami, sell out headline shows across the UK and Europe, attain heavy press and radio support from tastemakers COMPLEX, TRENCH, LONDON IN STEREO, and BBC R1Xtra, the emerging star’s achievements to date continue to reflect his strong worth ethic in championing the RnB Soul genre he has become known for.
