FAVE Explores Love, Heartbreak and Self Discovery on Genre Defying EP ‘RnBling’

GRAMMY Award nominated Nigerian singer and songwriter FAVE returns with her highly anticipated new EP RnBling, a six track project that marks a bold new chapter for one of contemporary African music’s most distinctive and emotionally resonant voices.

Blending R&B, Afrobeats, dancehall, pop and alternative influences, RnBling showcases FAVE’s ability to transform personal experiences into songs that feel both intimate and universal. Across the project, she explores the many forms love can take, from romance and desire to emotional distance, heartbreak, freedom and self discovery, while continuing to highlight the vulnerability and honesty that have become central to her artistry.

Opening track Body Talk sets the tone for the EP with a sensual Afrobeats groove centred around reconnection and emotional chemistry. The track captures the moment when two people move beyond conflict and rediscover each other through forgiveness, intimacy and the unspoken language of connection.

FAVE continues to explore the complexities of relationships on Miss You, featuring award winning Nigerian vocalist Chike. The R&B influenced collaboration reflects on the lingering emotions left behind when distance enters a relationship, capturing the memories and feelings that remain long after someone has gone.

That reflective energy shifts into celebration on Dance, an uplifting Afropop anthem built around freedom, movement and effortless connection. The track highlights FAVE’s ability to move between vulnerability and joy, creating music that feels equally suited to personal moments and shared experiences.

The second half of RnBling expands both emotionally and sonically. Drown explores the aftermath of heartbreak, focusing on the process of reclaiming yourself after a relationship no longer serves you. Meanwhile, Paparazzi featuring African pop icon Yemi Alade brings a dancehall inspired confidence and high energy approach, exploring obsession, attention and the intensity of being desired.

Closing the project, La La La takes listeners into a dreamier alternative space, offering a carefree reflection on love, adventure and imagining a life free from worry. Together, the six tracks present FAVE as an artist unafraid to experiment while remaining grounded in emotional storytelling.

Since first capturing global attention through her soulful lockdown freestyles on X in 2020, FAVE has built a reputation for creating music that balances emotional depth with undeniable melody. Her distinctive sound draws from her R&B and soul influences, her Afropop sensibilities and her ability to turn moments of vulnerability into powerful songwriting.

Raised with a strong connection to music through church choirs in Eastern Nigeria, FAVE developed her craft while also completing a law degree, reflecting the discipline and determination that continue to shape her career. Her breakthrough arrived with Baby Riddim, which earned her the Rookie of the Year award at The Headies, Nigeria’s equivalent of the GRAMMY Awards, establishing her as one of the country’s most exciting emerging talents.

Since then, FAVE has continued to grow into a globally recognised artist, earning over half a billion streams and collaborating with some of Africa’s biggest names, including Olamide, Davido, Yemi Alade and Simi. Her collaboration with Davido on Kante earned her a GRAMMY Award nomination, while her 2025 COLORS performance of Intentions further showcased her international appeal.

With RnBling, FAVE delivers a project that captures the full range of her artistry. Emotionally open, sonically adventurous and deeply connected to the experiences that shape us all, the EP reinforces her position as one of the leading voices shaping the future of African music on a global stage.
