QH Sound unveils selected artists and bands for ‘Unsigned Collection Vol.1’

QH Sound, a music company dedicated to showcasing fresh talent, has announced the final selection of Kentish artists and bands for their highly anticipated eclectic compilation debut CD ‘Unsigned Collection Vol.1’ after reviewing over 400 submissions. The final 20 artists were selected based on originality, musicality, and star potential.

The final selection includes:

1. Blaize China, an R&B/Pop singer-songwriter from Isle Of Sheppey, who appeared on The Voice UK in 2020. Known for her soulful, urban-infused sound.

2. Daniel McGuinness, an indie-pop singer-songwriter from Sittingbourne with a knack for storytelling. Daniel has seen consistent airplay on local and regional radio and television, including BBC Introducing and KMTV.

3. Aid Lewis, a critically acclaimed singer & songwriter from Sevenoaks, deeply rooted in the richness of words of love , truth & Hope.

4. Megan Wardroper, an infectious vocalist from Ruckinge who has been writing, releasing music for a number of years and gigging in local venues.

5. The Midnight River Crew, a Kent based collection of instrumentalists with their latest single featuring Bromley based singer, Isabella Coulstock who has opened for ‘Jools Holland and His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra’ on many tour dates, also Nell Bryden and, The Who.

6. Matthew Wright, an enchanting indie-pop singer from Chatham, who “writes sad songs so you don’t have to”.

7. Chidimma, an emerging talent from Chatham, in the UK R&B and Neo Soul landscape, known for her captivating vocals and emotionally charged songwriting.

8. Jasmin Fairhall, a pop singer songwriter from Canterbury. Jasmin has played at the beehive in London, O2 Academy Islington and the Camden Assembly alongside artists such as the Wasia Project. She also played at the Priory Live festival last summer on the KMTV Stage.

9. Seek Harbour, a rock core, with a nod to 80’s pop. The band was formed in the summer of 2019 on the coast of Deal, Kent, Seek Harbour pride themselves in creating melody, both instrumentally and vocally.

10. Lee Willz, a singer songwriter / rapper from Tonbridge, who writes, produce, mix and master all his music and also plays the guitar.

11. The King Rooks, from Folkestone. Formed 3 years ago and have played numerous gigs in and out of Kent.

12. Grassmell, an indie singer from Folkestone. He has been writing music since he was 10, but it was only in June 2023 that he decided to start pursuing music as a career! Grassmell has since released 5 singles.

13. We Found The Wreck, a rock band with a growing following in the South East. They play regular live shows around Kent and are starting to play further afield including a tour in Europe in November.

14. Jude Ness, an alt rap rock artist from Canterbury, whose style slightly resembles a modern take on Jamie T. His music has been featured on BBC Radio 1 and BBC introducing Kent numerous times.

15. The Super Micks, an indie Rock band from Ramsgate. The debuted in 2023 with “Hometown” and currently working on an EP and Album, being produced by Louis Malagodi from Collateral.

16. Charles HS, musician from Medway. He makes alternative indie-pop music that is inspired by bands such as The War on Drugs, Coldplay, Mac DeMarco, Thomas Headon and Alfie Jukes.

17. Char.B, a singer, rapper and songwriter from Ramsgate, heavily influenced by Lauren hill and J Cole.

18. Little Tealeif, a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Medway. Known for his genre bending music, playful and probing lyrics, underlined by subtle dance grooves.

19. Kali, anonymous rapper from Canterbury who has been compared to artists like Dave and Skepta for its wordplay and cadence.

20. Kid Hue, singer and producer from Chatham, currently studying Music Technology at University of Kent.

QH Sound’s Unsigned Collection Vol.1 CD is currently in pressed and is expected to be ready in April.

Unsigned Collection Vol.1 will be available for FREE in record shops across Kent and will be distributed to Kent based radio stations and key players in the music industry. The compilation provides a unique platform for talented emerging artists to reach new milestone, gain new listeners, while music fans and the industry can discover exciting new acts. QH Sound aims to continue supporting up-and-coming artists through their unsigned artist program and has hinted to have already started compiling Unsigned Collection Vol.2.
