London based Music Producer, Rapper & Singer Drissy Parker has been honing and crafting his skills in singing and producing for the last few years. Originally a Rapper, having started his music journey in Harare, Zimbabwe where he moved to at the age of 9, listening to his uncles vinyls, his mum’s massive CD collection, and self taught in the piano, Drissy took his passion for rap and expanded it into his first love, R&B music, bringing together a mesh of genres that are the foundation of his sound. Starting with releasing mixtapes, and beat tapes on his Soundcloud, Drissy began to figure out exactly the artist he wanted to be and it was there it clicked.
With the release of his EP ‘It Was Late In The Night’, Drissy aims to take listeners into his world and give them an experience that feels very unique.
Touted as the ‘King of The Late Night Vibes’ thanks to his mastery of soundscapes of a nocturnal nature; and ‘V for Virtuoso’ for his attention to detail, Drissy Parker brings to the fore a moody late night backdrop that creates the palette for his tales. Inspired by late night drives, past experiences and ideas swimming in his head, these elements allowed Drissy to take them and turn them in sonic journeys, relying on dreamy pads and chords, coupled with subtle 808s & erratic hi-hats to give him the perfect canvas for any tool in his arsenal he wishes to use.
