Dodo is the brainchild of Dominik Lacziko Succhiatti, a 21 year old with an immense passion for music.
What or who inspired you to begin a career in music?
When I was a kid, I loved Slash and Jimi Hendrix, they really inspired me to make music. After that I was more into experimental and alternative music, like Tame Impala, Kanye, or Gorillaz. They all inspired me, but I always wanted to work in a creative field, so I can have an interesting life, full of different experiences.
What differs you and your sound from other emerging artists in the music industry?
I think the biggest difference between me and anyone else in the music industry is that I don’t want to comply. I’m trying to experiment and make a sound which is not necessarily trendy, or in a genre. My sound doesn’t fit in any genre, which makes my life sometimes harder, but that’s what makes it special.
Your latest single ‘Find My Way’ ft. Puzzls, taken from your debut EP ‘The Mystery of Time’ is out now. Can you please describe the creative process and inspiration behind the project?
The biggest inspiration for this project was Kanye’s ‘Kids See Ghosts’ and ‘Ye’ projects. I wanted to create something special and spiritual, but at the same time not too experimental as well. I wanted to create a short project full of interesting sounds.
In your own opinion, what is the most meaningful song you wrote? What makes you say that one?
I think ‘Find My Way’ was the most meaningful one. I love it because it can truly empower the listener, and it can make people to believe in themselves. The lyrics and the music are in perfect sync. ‘Find My Way’ also fully represents my style.
Throughout your musical career, have you experienced any ‘wow’ moments?
The biggest ‘wow’ moment so far was when I was featured in the BBC Introducing programme, or when I was working with Matt Foster. I think as I’m growing and developing, there so many more ‘wow’ moments.
What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?
I think the most important thing is to make music, or anything full of love and with passion. No matter what. If you really love what you are doing nothing can stop, you. Enjoy every moment of making music and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Just follow your own path.
What does the foreseeable future hold for you as an artist?
In the near future I want to release 2 more songs, with even greater visuals. I want to start performing, and maybe touring, but I want to present at as many festivals as I can. I want to meet with different and interesting people.

I just want to thank everyone who helped me so far, and for all the support. So many great people, helped me to put this project together and I’ve came so far thanks to them.
