Lucy Park Explores Love, Identity and Self Discovery on New EP ‘THREAD 27’

London based artist and creative Lucy Park returns with her brand new EP THREAD 27, released via 10K. Following a standout run of releases and collaborations throughout 2026, the six track project sees Park explore relationships, inner city life and the process of understanding yourself through a beautifully warped blend of alternative soul, R&B and alt pop.

With acclaim already coming from DAZED and OUTLANDER MAGAZINE, THREAD 27 arrives as Lucy Park continues to establish herself as one of the most compelling emerging voices within London’s new generation of artists.

The EP opens with BLUE SASHIKO, a slow burning introduction inspired by the intricate Japanese embroidery technique of the same name. Digital scratches and gradually expanding textures create an atmosphere of reconstruction, establishing the central idea behind the project. Across THREAD 27, Lucy uses creative forms including sewing, drawing, painting, technology and mosaic as ways of exploring how experiences can break us down before ultimately helping us rebuild.

That sense of uncertainty continues through DIZZY, where distorted guitar and syncopated percussion mirror the physical and emotional disorientation of becoming lost within a relationship and your surroundings. The track captures the uncertainty that can come with trying to understand both where you are and where you are heading.

OUTLINE offers a shift towards familiarity and self recognition. Built around infectious alternative pop influences, the track finds Lucy reconnecting with emotions and memories that help provide a sense of direction. From there, TOUCH CONTROL takes that journey into the digital world.

The EP’s focus track examines the toxicity of control through Lucy’s relationship with phones and digital spaces. Blissful R&B instrumentation and layered vocal harmonies create an intentional contrast with the subject matter, reflecting how something that feels comforting and familiar can also become an unhealthy source of attachment and manipulation.

Lucy has also directed the accompanying visual for TOUCH CONTROL, extending the EP’s exploration of technology, relationships and emotional confusion into a visual setting.

Next comes PAINT ME A DREAM, featuring Norwegian artist and producer Botaii. The pair create an intimate meeting of voices, floating over spacey guitar and deep bass as they explore love as a place for vulnerability, growth and the possibility of something genuine.

Closing the EP, MOSAIC strips everything back and gives Lucy space to reflect. The title becomes a fitting conclusion to a project built around individual experiences gradually coming together to form something new. At 27 years old, Lucy looks back at the moments that have shaped her and invites listeners to recognise pieces of their own stories within them.

The personal nature of THREAD 27 feels like a natural progression for an artist whose music has always placed emotional honesty at its centre. Lucy Park first introduced her distinctive sound with her 2021 debut EP Before I Speak, establishing a style built around tenderness, understated intimacy and rich lyricism.

That early foundation developed through a series of releases before leading to her acclaimed project GOOD GRACES last year. Along the way, Lucy has continued to expand her creative world through collaborations, including GUERILLAZ with London collective H.ILLS and work with French multi instrumentalist FKJ on his forthcoming album Tyber, which also features Labrinth, Baby Rose, Bas and Eryn Allen Kane.

With more than 42 million streams across her growing catalogue, Lucy Park has steadily moved from promising newcomer to one of London’s most distinctive emerging artists.
