Rising R&B songstress Lovelle bares all with a strong and honest body of work on the ‘Therapy’ EP

Following the release of the smooth and stunningly profound single ‘Beggin’, rising R&B songstress Lovelle bares all with a strong and honest body of work on the ‘Therapy’ EP.

Taking time to produce a project that allowed her to be ‘fragile so she could be strong later’, creating ‘Therapy’ acted as a healing process for the rising South-East London artist, resulting in the title name perfectly describing her journey to date in relationships and her journey mentally within herself.

Opening with the emotive and moving introduction on focus track ‘Truth’, tackling the often toxic traits that can occur in a relationship, to heart-breaking realisations on ‘Try Again’ and positive moments of release on ‘Fireworks’, ‘Therapy’ serves as a powerful offering from the emerging artist.

Speaking on the EP, Lovelle said:

“I wanted to end the project on a reflection of everything I had experienced over the past few years with my spiritual, mental and emotional growth. I wanted to sing words that I know I would need to hear when times feel tough.”

With personal touches captured with voice notes along the way and working with the likes of Maths Time Joy (Mahalia), J Warner (Mahalia, Snoh Aalegra, Sinead Harnett), Maestro (Rihanna, J Hus) and Fergus throughout (the latter two co-produced ‘Truth’), Lovelle’s vocal talent and relatable personality is a refreshing addition to today’s scene. Owing her confidence and dedicated attitude to her craft in part to attending the Mick Jagger Theatre and Sylvia Young Theatre School, her natural aesthetic has also seen modelling and endorsement opportunities present themselves for iconic brands incl. ADIDAS, NIKE, REEBOK and PRETTY LITTLE THING; an avenue which has also seen Lovelle excel.

With early support for her music coming in from key tastemakers incl. COMPLEX, NME, CLASH, METRO, THE VOICE and LINKUP, radio support from BBCR 1Xtra’s DJ Ace, Trevor Nelson, Twin B, DJ Target and BBCR1’s Annie Mac, not to mention performing alongside the likes of heavyweight talents The Script, Miguel and Becky Hill, there’s no sign of slowing down anytime soon for this rising artist, as she stands firm as one to watch for the foreseeable.

‘Therapy’ is available now via all major platforms.
