Harry Cracknell

Harry Cracknell is a young Pop/R&B artist on the rise and has just released his latest single ‘4am’ a follow up to earlier released single this year ‘Good Thing’ and is set to make waves.

The 22 year old has previously supported multi platinum selling boy band ‘Blue’ at a 20,000-attending show and ’The Game’ on his European tour. A collaboration with Landis and Breikthru on ‘Find Me’ saw huge success with 750k streams on Spotify alone and placement in TV shows ‘Celebs Go Dating’ and ’The Only Way Is Essex’.

What inspired you to begin a career in music?

Since I was young I always sung with my sister at home, but the standout moment for me would be performing at my year 6 school production. I got the main part and had to sing 4 solo songs and I loved performing to a crowd, after that I knew it was something I needed to pursue.

What differs you and your sound from other upcoming artists in the music industry?

I try to be myself when developing my songs, I want people to hear my music and identify that its me. With my music you can tell I’m from the UK. What makes it different is the mix of RnB pop vocals with a pop structured track mixed with the UK sound coming from the instrumental.

Your latest release ‘4 AM’ is out now. Please describe the creative process and inspiration behind the track and the video?

I wrote the hook some time before creating the whole track. The lyrics “its 4am my eyes are burning” was literally put into my notes on my phone because it was 4am at the time. I then took some time to decide to use it within a song of mine. As soon as I got into then studio the lyrics all came together.

The video was pieced together through a follow on from my single before ‘Good Thing’. Ash Riley who directed and shot the video with some help from Scott Peters really did an amazing job putting this one together. Its an absolute movie and makes you want to watch it over and over again.

In your own opinion, what is the most meaningful song you wrote? What makes you say that one?

I have a song that I’ve been working on called ‘Cold Nights’, its not out yet but will be soon. So keep your eyes peeled as I’ve got some great content pending.

What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?

Don’t let things set you back from your goals, its a tough journey, if you believe in yourself that’s all you need.
