“The concept of time has been the most significant & consistent thing in my life. It’s a concept that’s always been impounded into my psyche and what I’ve held on to. So much can happen over time, so much of your being can change over time. I’ve had moments where I’ve wanted to give up, moments of frustration, moments where I’ve constantly questioned my why’s – why I’m still doing this, why I’m still trying, why I haven’t tried something else, why I keep doubting myself. I feel like this title is symbolic of where I am in life and how far I’ve come. I feel this time is very significant & will mark the beginning of a new journey in my life & career.”

Some of the most notable work from the songstress include her track “Iyawo” and her debut project Bri’s Lounge, where the album title pays homage to her birth name Bri’ana, Dami Oniru is almost an alter ego for the artist, who embodies her overall R’n’B aesthetic infusing the rising star’s Nigerian and American roots, while seamlessly incorporating her smooth sound.
