Rising R&B songstress Alysha kicks off the new year with her latest offering ‘Lord, Help Me’

Syncopated percussion and Neo Soul undertones lay the perfect foundation for Alysha’s signature soothing R&B vocals as she opens the track with “Lord, help me I’m, falling out of line. With you I’m kind, can’t I just be what you want me to be” as she makes an honest and moving plea. Produced by Ivor Novello Award nominee Cassell The Beatmaker (Plan B, Akala), the gospel masterpiece is the first of Alysha’s new singles since a recent pause from releasing music whilst at university.

Talking on the track Alysha says:

“Following in the footsteps of some of my favourite gospel and soul artists… the lyrics discuss my exploration into spirituality – and the realisation that I had to fill the void I found within myself – that it wouldn’t come from anywhere else.”

Pushing on from her rhythmically addictive singles ‘Sugar Sweet’ and ‘Florence’, Alysha continues to establish herself as one of the leading sounds of future R&B with ‘Lord, Help Me’. Storming onto the scene in 2019 with her debut single ‘David Attenborough’, Alysha has since earnt a plethora of taste maker attention from the likes of NOTION, WONDERLAND and ROLLERCOASTER. With an impressive 408K on IG and 120K on TikTok the soulstress has a headline show at Canada Water Theatre in March 2023.

‘Lord, Help Me’ is a refreshing start to the new year and further embeds Alysha’s status as one of the UK’s most interesting new R&B voices.
