Jiggy Bars talks the creative process & inspiration behind his stirring new album ‘VERACITY’ + more

Jiggy Bars’ first made his mark on the Chicago and Lake County area as a ‘college kid’ in 2015, drawing attention with his hot parties and forcible performances. The reaction he attained fueled him to keep on sharing music and offering up new projects at every turn. His drive and talent has aligned him with countless shows over Chicago, Wisconsin and Arizona, as well as a management deal with Yudago Music Group.

What or who inspired you to begin a career in music?

I’ve always had love & passion for music and the gift of writing since a young age. It wasn’t until I reconnected with my blood brother in 2015 where I got inspired to become an artist myself. Being surrounded by so much creativity inspired me.

What differs you and your sound from other artists in the music industry?

The Authenticity of my music and the relatability helps me differentiate myself from other artists. It’s been like a trend to try and replicate peoples sound but everything about my music is organic to who Jiggy Bars is and my experiences. Also, I am not afraid to add different elements to my music as you can tell from listening to ‘VERACITY’.

Your new album ‘VERACITY’ is out now. Can you please describe the creative process and inspiration behind the project?

I really got inspired after creating ‘Poverty’. ‘Poverty’ was the first song I created on the project and really set the tone for the rest of the project. I didn’t force anything in the creative process. Honestly every track was super intentional and once I got in project mode I was very observant about everything happening in my life. This project is like the most up to date audio journal of my life these past few months. I decided to name the project ‘Veracity’.

Veracity is the quality of being truthful. I’m at a place of acceptance in my life where I feel I need to rap about the things that are real and have impacted my life. I know if I have those feelings then so do millions of other people in the world.

Throughout your musical career, have you experienced any ‘wow’ moments?

I had a dope experience in LA 2019 performing during BET weekend. Performing at the Beats & Beers Festival & being on the same stage as Chief Keef & Calboy. This after my first headlining show in Omaha Nebraska.

What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?

I would say that this career is difficult but rewarding and just like anything in life it’s a process don’t get discouraged in the beginning. Stay open minded & always be ready to readjust your game plan/strategy and adapt to the times. But overall stay persistent!

What does the foreseeable future hold for you as an artist?

I really see myself becoming an international star. I believe my music can inspire a lot of people. Music is magic and I truly believe my music has the ability to heal. I see many different placement opportunities in the future as well as major partnerships and collaborations.

Anything else you would like to add?
