Exploring the concept of placing trust in those who surround us: ‘Loyal’ is the latest release from HILLARI

After a vibrant summer filled with milestones, including the release of her EP, a standout performance at ØYA, preparations for by:Larm, and the honor of winning Urørt of the Month, HILLARI is back in the spotlight with the unveiling of her latest music video, ‘Loyal,’ produced by Eplehagen Film.

On July 7th, HILLARI introduced the world to her debut EP, ‘How is your soul?’. Across the entire EP, she masterfully guides us through a personal and thought-provoking journey, delving into universally relatable themes: faith, identity, uncertainty, hope, and the art of letting go. And now, the eagerly awaited music video for ‘Loyal’ has arrived!

‘Loyal’ explores the concept of placing trust in those who surround us. In an era where many from our generation grapple with trust issues in their relationships and partnerships, HILLARI’s message serves as a timely reminder that we have the power to choose whom we trust. “Trust is paramount,” affirms the artist herself, emphasising the profound sentiment behind the song.

The music video is a creative collaboration between director Eskil Hoel Abrahamsen and producer Arjan Aziz Vinje of Eplehagen Film. Their previous partnership on HILLARI’s ‘Desperate Soul’ music video garnered nominations in the “Music Video of the Year” category at both the Grimstad Short Film Festival and the Aestica Film Festival in York, UK.

With this new music video, Eskil and Arjan aim to capture poignant moments of transformation and instability. They have deliberately embraced a minimalist approach, recognizing that often, unspoken elements hold the most significant impact.

Eskil elaborates on their vision:

“When we conceptualized the music video for ‘Loyal,’ our aim was to spotlight the artist’s sense of standing alone in an ever-evolving world, where one often gives generously without always receiving the appreciation they deserve. The song shines a light on this enduring loyalty, even in the face of disappointment.”

‘Loyal’ is available now via all major platforms.
